This vlog is the second of 7 vlogs in my (hopefully first!) Disney Series. I was joined by Pam, Evie, and Aiden on this amazing trip with stops at Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Disney Springs, and Epcot (After Hours) during the Food & Wine Festival in August 2023. The first night we stayed at the Swan Hotel to get those two extra hours in the parks, the following night we stayed at the Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando which is a hotel in the Disney Springs area, and then we headed off on a three-night stay on the Disney Wish Cruise Ship!

Also, if you are new, I have a rare muscle disease, so for extended adventures I use my mobility scooter. The vlogs will feature some clips from my Scooter Cam, and I wore this action camera on the rides so that way you could not only see the rides but also how I transfer into and out of them as a person with limited mobility and muscle weakness.

We left Boston's Logan Airport on a 6 AM flight to Orlando International Airport, and after arriving at 9 AM it was nonstop until midnight!. We first went to Animal Kingdom where so much fun was had, and then utilized the hopper pass to go to Magic Kingdom! Shout out to Aiden's uncle for hooking us up with those hopper passes - thank you again!!

We purposely stayed at the Swan because the Deluxe Hotels are eligible for Extended Evening Theme Park Hours, and on this night the Magic Kingdom was open for an extra two hours, and we stayed all the way to midnight!

This was the first week of August, and I was surprised how fully decked out for Halloween it was! The Not So Spooky Halloween Parties were happening two days after we were here, so it makes sense that they decorated for those so they got the full Halloween effect. I know that many people are super into Halloween so I made sure I captured all the fall / autumn / Halloween decor that I could despite being a Christmas person :)

I will say that it was nice to see all the Halloween decorations for the first time, and in a way it helped me ease out of summer a little since summer is my favorite season. I'll try to appreciate Halloween a little more, and hopefully no one bothers me with their gory cobweb versions of Halloween. I'll take the Not So Spooky version only!
