I never knew I needed to know what Boston's #1 rated bathroom was, but now I am glad that I know. Tune in to find out where we found it!
During a last minute girl's night with Pam and Evie on a snowy February night, we stayed at the Westin Copley hotel in the Back Bay neighborhood of Boston. That night we ate at the 75 Liberty on Wharf in the Seaport, and we actually ate inside a heated igloo on the water! We kept our coats on, but with the coats we were comfortable and we enjoyed our meals. We also were staying on the club level, so we enjoyed a few snacks in the Club room when we arrived to the hotel in the evening. We stayed in a regular room, but we toured an accessible room the next day.
The next morning, Pam and Evie enjoyed breakfast in the Club room and there was a great variety. Because I haven't used my scooter in icy conditions, I opted to bring a transport chair and Evie was kind enough to push me around. We walked from the Westin Copley to the Prudential Center, but by the time we got there we were all painfully cold. We shopped around for a bit before heading practically across the street to the Christian Science Plaza.
The Christian Science Reflecting Pools were frozen and covered in snow. Inside the Mary Baker Eddy Library we stopped into the Mapparium. This is one of the top 10 tourist attractions in Boston, and it really is a hidden gem. It is a completely accessible attraction and it is very unique. My favorite part was the “whispering gallery,” where what you whisper on one side of the globe can be heard on the other. You would have to experience that in person to understand it!
